The story
Has a narrated introduction – it is set in China during the Jin period (金朝) ,where Zhong Du (中都) (now Beijing) is the capital.

Its duration is approx. 110 minutes

Characters

Qiao Feng 巧凤
A beautiful young woman from the countryside who loves nature and spends much of her time exploring the forests

Pu Liang 普亮
Son of one of the Zhong Du (中都) officials and was a childhood dear friend of Qiao Feng. He is an expert in martial arts but it will be seen he cannot defeat the Ao La Ku (敖拉库) Sorcerers.

The Ancient Spirit of the Forest
An ancient forest dwelling spirit – forest guardian of wisdom and universal love – he manifests at will.

Ao Bei Chen Pei 敖裴臣
Mayor and head of Zhong Du ruling officials.

Ao La Ku 敖拉库
Wife of  Ao Bei Chen Pei敖裴臣. She heads the world outside the forest and represents all that is materialistic with its attendant desire for possession and control. Her husband Ao Bei Chen Pei (敖裴臣) who had been a kind ruler suddenly became very ill under suspicious circumstances and Ao La Ku (敖拉库) appeared to be involved. Immediately Ao La Ku took over the Mayor’s position the people became oppressed. Greed and power polluted her mind.

The Sorcery Warriors (junior/shorter dancers)
The Ao La Ku (敖拉库) special platoon she cultivated to become mischief making unpleasant ‘little people’ whose misuse of magic and devious trickery help the unscrupulous Ao La Ku (敖拉库) achieve her aims.

Soldiers of Ao La Ku (敖拉库) (Corps de ballet)
Troops who protect the Ao La Ku (敖拉库) and suppress the populace ‘for its own good’

Animals of the Forest (Animations) the Dragons, Pandas, Tiger, Monkeys and Peacocks have been featured because of their significance in Chinese culture.
The animals hide from Qiao Feng until she wears the amber necklace given to her by the Ancient Man of the Forest when she radiates the love for, and a peace and oneness with nature. Then the animals befriend, support and protect her.
