Vivid Dream – Part 3

The superconsciousness is a level of consciousness of which psychiatrists are aware. It can be reached through letting go, or clearing the conscious mind, and so being receptive to it. Every day functions such as walking through nature, in a forest forest for example and just being without thought and just lost in the ambiance of the forest can have one tapping in by default. In the category of intuitive connectivity I see the mighty Beethoven. In one of his letters, Beethoven declared that he was unsure of the source of his creativity. Yet he went on to refer to the ‘mind of nature’, and that his ideas came unbidden.

“I carry my ideas with me for a long time, and often for a very long time before I write them down. In doing so, my memory is so trustworthy that I am sure I will never forget, even after a period of years , a theme I have once committed to memory. I change a great deal, eliminate much, and begin again until I am satisfied with the result. Then the working out and extension and diminution in height and depth begins in my head, and since I know what I want, the basic idea never leaves me. It mounts and grows. I hear and see the work in my mind in its full proportions, as though already accomplished, and all that remains is the labour of writing it out. This proceeds quickly, depending on the time I have available, since I have several pieces on the works at once. You will ask me where I get my ideas. Well that I cannot say with certainty. They come unbidden, indirectly, directly. I could grasp them with my hands. In the mind of nature, in the woods on walks, in the silence of the night, in the early morning inspired by moods that would translate themselves into words for the poet and into tones for me. The sounds surge, roar, until at last they stand before me as notes”. -Beethoven
